Question on how to make a events page

I’m working on a new website and I need to create a events page. The events will have the same format, text on the left and a image on the right with maybe a link to a rsvp and map/directions. I need for the events to expire on a certain date. I’ve looked at ditto and newsmanager but don’t see how to use these. If anyone has any suggestion it would be much appreciated.
