I have read the instructions on moving a site to a new server and decided to do the following:

    1. Create an account on the new server (with same username and password as the one on the previous server).

    2. Create a new database with same name, user and password as the old one.

    3. Install Modx Revolution on the new server and link it to the new dbase.

    4. Download a backup of the old dbase for Modx from the old server using CPanel.

    5. Use the restore function in CPanel to dump the data into the new dbase.

The new site is up and running but Modx is not pulling anything from the new dbase. For instance, when I use PHPMyAdmin to look at the dbase I see there are 8 entries in the modx templates cell, but the manager is only showing the single default template. Also I see the right number of snippets in the dbase as it appears in the PHPMyAdmin, but no snippets appear in the manager’s elements column.

I have checked the config files (3, at least) and the paths and usernames and password seem correct.

The instructions (last updated by Bob Ray) suggested rerunning setup. Did that. Still no sign of templates, chunks, snippets in the manager.

Some crucial step is missing. But which? Any ideas?

    Thanks.
