The new website looks fantastic. But there are a couple of flaws which I think should be addressed.
I noticed these when trying to download the latest modx package directly to my web host using wget.
On the download page
If you’d like to access it directly for wget, you can do so here.
Usually, I would right click the copy the link address with a right click, so I can then paste it into the terminal from which I’m controlling my host. I then use the link with wget to download the file.
However, the link will just download an html file. It doesn’t seem to link to a modx package.
Has the link anchor been entered incorrectly by the webmaster? Or is this link supposed to be used in a way that I’m following.
After failing to use wget to download the link I found out that my host provides a browser that can run in the terminal. So I fired it up and navigated to the download page to grab the file.
But then, how can I be sure of the integrity of the file?
It would be nice if a checksum of the latest modx could be posted on the download page.
Or at least posted somewhere easy to find.
