Limiting SSL to specific pages in a MODX site

While this is probably an Apache question, I thought I’d ask here since there may be some MODX-specific issues. I need to enable SSL for a subset of pages within a MODX (Evo) site. Is there anything MODX-specific that I need to consider?

For Evolution the encryption plugin (there is also a snippet) works well to do this:

The plugin forces a https or http connection on a per or per parent basis.
