    Hi there,

I’m having a problem with my revolution installation. Every time I run setup and click install it goes to a 500 internal server error. No errors in the logs. No tables in the database (although it says all my connnection details are fine.)

I checked with my host and it has 64 meg ram, enough to install. All php_flag settings in htaccess are commented out by default.

    Has anyone got any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Niall

You typically see 500 errors with incorrect file permissions and/or invalid/unsupported htaccess code.

Rename .htaccess to off.htaccess for a moment, retry and if you still have 500 errors then it’s likely permission related.

File permissions should be 644/755 (file/folder) if your host has phpsuexec enabled.

        Hi there,

I tried switching off .htaccess file, and the file permission I triple checked were exactly as you stated. However, I emailed eukhost instead of chatting online with them, and they simply installed it for me...

I’m chasing them to find out what the problem was, however.

        Thanks for your help.

I’ve got same problem. Have you got any solution?
          Thanks.

          register_globals is set to Off.
All permissions are set to 755/644 except files that are highlighted during setup process. I set them to 777.
With .htaccess and withoit it - in both cases setup crashes to error #500.
I cant even find any errors in /var/log/...
I tried 2.0.8 and 2.1.1 with same result.

          What should i do now?

          Need any help.
