How to add custom TV input types in Evo?

Hi guys,

I’m looking for a way to add - or in this case, modify the File TV input type in MODx Evolution so that I can change the starting directory when they click on the insert button (ex: starting in assets/images/subdirectory instead of /assets). I’m planning to add several modded versions of this input type to accommodate several templates of my site design. Can anyone point me to the right direction where I start reading up on this? Thanks

That’s awkward because that file browser isn’t really MODx; it’s an included Javascript application that needs to be configured.

You might do better to work with the new Custom TVs in 1.0.5 and embed a new copy of the application with your own custom configuration. You might want to poke around on the internet and see if you can find a nicer file browser than MCPuck. Since you’re not wanting to embed it in TinyMCE, you should have a good choice.
