I have some installation issues on the following server:
CentOS 5.5 64bit
Apache 2.2.17
MySQL 5.1.54
Php 5.2.16 - not running as suexec
eAccelerator
modx revolution 2.0.7 normal version.
Even though the system seems to work fine, i have issues with gallery. I will include the error codes from gallery and modx installation because i think they might be related.
In the install log i have the following errors:

The gallery also installs fine, but again some issues with phpthumb:

Gallery cannot output any thumbnails, and the path to the image passed is correct.
It seems like a configuration issue with the server. I have seen other with the same issues regarding gallery. Have tried the same "fixes" but it does not work.
If anyone can help or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

It turns out that eAccelerator was causing the problem.
Now everything works out fine.
