If I’m understanding what you did --
You don’t need an allow_modx_tags *policy*, just the permission (which you created correctly).
Delete the allow_modx_tags *policy* (not the permission) on the Policies tab.
Still on the policies tab, right-click on the Administrator policy and select "update"
Put a checkmark next to allow_mods_tags in the Administrator policy, then save the policy.
Do the usual flushing and you should be good to go.

Thank you again, sorry for such a noooooob questions
No problem. We were all newbs when we started out, and we’re all still newbs at something.
Glad you got it working.
Hi Bob,
Thanks for understanding. Been playing with it and it submits the text from the front end beautifully. I still havent managed to figure out how to get TinyMCE working in the front end. I’ve got the following code on my newspublisher page
[[!NewsPublisher? &show=`pagetitle,content` &initrte=`1` &rtcontent=`1` &tinyWidth=`98%` &tinyheight=`700px`]]
am I missing something to initiate the rte? Read your instructions, and have ’decided’ that I should not mess around with the deafault properties so I’m trying to activate the rte with the parameters in the snippet tag. Is that the right approach?
Thanks again
Chaps
Yes, I do that often (and you should never edit the default properties except for components you write yoursefl). You can also create your own property set on the snippet’s properties tab and use:
[[!NewsPublisher@MyPropertySet]]
BTW, in Revolution, it’s OK to put the snippet parameters on separate lines, which can sometimes help you spot typos.
[[!NewsPublisher?
&show=`pagetitle,content`
&initrte=`1`
&rtcontent=`1`
&tinyWidth=`98%`
&tinyheight=`700px`
&rtcontent=`1`
]]
What you’re missing is this one:

Hi Bob,
I had &rtcontent=`1` as the third parameter in my code (but Ive copied and pasted your snippet to make sure).Its still not displaying the TinyMCE? Just curious am I supposed to have the Rich Text under the newspublisher page settings checked or unchecked. I’ve tried both and I know this makes a difference in the back end. (its currently off as when the RTE is on it replaces the & sign with ;amp code which I dont want). Hope that makes sense.
Any other things I should of done?I think we’re almost there 98% (even applied the v2.0.8 patch and re-enabled the allow_modx_tags permissions and flushed everything to get it working - im learning
)
Sorry, I guess I’m going blind. I’ve been staring at the computer all day.
I can’t think of any reason why that shouldn’t work, unless the TinyMCE files aren’t where they are supposed to be.
Do a "View Source" in FF with the form on the page and click on the Tiny include links to see if they’re there and on the CSS files. Also, make sure the NP page has an actual valid template.
The Rich Text setting on the NP page shouldn’t make any difference.
Does the template used by the page contain this?
<base href="[[++site_url]]" />
