I am rather a novice when it comes to databases. All I need to do is:
1 create a fairly simple database of information with various fields
2 a custom made template that displays the content of each field where i want it to go.
3 then, users need to be able to search the database by each field using drop down menus of options or typing in key words,
4 which generates a list of matching entries, displaying entry title and photo.
5 finally, clicking on the entry generates the page template with the information from the database.
i have had a look about quite a lot but i can’t find a simple solution to this fairly basic need. could people point me in the right direction, where to start and any other help going...

What is the best version to update to currently? Is there a securit yproblem with 1.0.3?
