I’m getting increasingly frustrated with searching Modx these days... 90% of my searches are not found because the forum search function is absolutely shocking.
an example is "&filter ditto" I needed to find info on the filter function and it gives me "Your search query didn’t return any matches."
I have resorted to going to google and using it as my search function with "&filter ditto modx" and it’s finding what I need. What are the plans to sort the search out because it’s hampering progress and making simple searches 10 times longer than need be? This is no flame, just needing to know what the plans are.

We will be working on the use of Sphinx in the near future. There has been some work done already to get SMF working with Sphinx to resolve a multitude of search problems that occur when SMF’s indices grow past a certain size, and since we are also working on a Sphinx extension for MODx Revolution, this seems like the best course of action to me.

mrhaw, that’s what I was doing as well, seems to work the best.

Yeah, I first tried to edit a duplicated file in in the Program folder without success.
So I had to edit it while moved to desktop.
