    Hello

I would like to know if it is possible to sort the TV Categories (I am not speaking about the TVs inside) in Revo in a different way.
By default the categories are sorted alphabetically.

I have for instance TVs called "Page 1", 2Page 2", "Page 3", etc. and "Advanced options".
Now when I edit a resource I want to display "Advanced Options" as the last TV and not as the first.

Any idea how this can be done?

Unfortunately, I don’t think that Categories can be sorted... this has come up in a few other posts. The categories table doesn’t have a column dedicated to sort order, so it sorts alphabetically. It is a feature request. The work-around is to name your categories in a way that will cause them to sort how you want when they sort alphabetically, e.g. "01 - Category 1", "02 - Something Else".

I think this is possible through "Form Customization". It’s a bit of a long-winded process but it’s pretty simple really.

1 ) In the manager, go to "Security > Form Customization"
2 ) Click "Create New Profile", and name it something like "Resources" - set it to "Active"
3 ) Right click your new profile, and select "Edit".
4 ) Click "Create New Set" to create a new property set for this profile.
5 ) Select the "Create Resource" action, and select the template you wish this rule to be applied to (the page using these Template Variables).
        6 ) Click "Save"
7 ) Right-click the new set, and select "Edit"
8 ) Select the "Template Variables" tab
9 ) For each Template variable, simply double click the "TAB RANK" field, and enter a value. The lower the number, the higher this field will appear on the form, so you can simply edit your "Advanced Options" TV to have a higher number than all the other TV’s.
        10 ) Click "Save". That’s it.

11 ) You’ll probably want to do this to edited resources too, so go to "Security > Form Customization".
12 ) Right-click the profile you created earlier
13 ) Right-click your new set and select "Duplicate"
14 ) Right-click the duplicated set and select "Edit"
15 ) From the "Action" list, select "Update Resource", also tick the "Active" checkbox
        16 ) Click "Save"

Now go back to create/edit a resource and your TV’s should be ordered correctly smiley

        Hope this helps smiley
