    Hi!

We’re new to modx, and we’re trying to figure out how to implement a product catalogue.
For a small amount of products this is not an issue: we can use regular resources.
But the main problem is this: what if my client has for example, 200+ products? I’ll end up, on the left side of the manager, with a REALLY big resources menu.

So I was wondering: is there a way/addon to have my product resources listed on a paginated table INSTEAD of listed in the resources menu?

I think then, that this kind of problem arises also in case of, for example, a quite active blog. How would you manage hundreds of news without having them all listed in the resources menu?

    Thank you! smiley

There’s no add-on that I know of, but you can organize them under containers that each hold one product category.

If you end up with a lot of products, at some point you’ll want to put them in a custom DB table rather than having a resource for each one.

Another way to go is to put the data for each product in a chunk, then use a custom snippet to parse and display it. The chunks can go in categories to simplify the tree.
