sub-menu help with Wayfinder

Hello, I’m trying to give menu items that have sub-items a specific class. It is natural, for example, to have an arrow next to items that have more items in them. For example:

HOME | TEAM | CONTACT
|
Friends >> Person 1
Family >> Person 2

How would I go about this using Wayfinder?
my current code is: [[Wayfinder?startId=`0` &hereClass=`current`]]

I noticed on www.bobsguides.com any drop-down items that have nested items have a "hide" class applied and are then coloured differently (green).

default: NULL
values: name of class
description: The parentClass will be applied to each item that has children (is a folder).

Just to be thorough for others searching, here is my code:

And then I’ll use CSS to selectively style with a new bg image with arrows.
