[SOLVED] GIT: ignore all but some directories

I tried to set the .gitignore as:

And even this

But when I changed the files and folders inside the easy2/ folders, my Git GUI and GitExtensions did not read the changes.
I believe it’s related on the .gitignore’s command.

Do you have any idea how can I resolve this?

I work on WindowsXP.

Nevermind. Answering my own question:

Apparently it worked before, but my Netbeans just didn’t get it. It had to be *diff*ed to the source to mark the changes.

If you’re working with a repo that already has .gitignore rules, sometimes it’s easier to add you own ignore rules into the .git/info/exclude file. This way, git won’t keep bugging you about committing your modified .gitignore

The problem I can’t resolve is when I create a new file/folder, the git gui can not scan it.

Just to clarify, please let me know if I’m incorrect:
You’re adding a new folder/file in Netbeans, and if you type git status on the git command line, it doesn’t see that there are untracked files?
