Okay, I have been using the approach from this post:

I have a site with documents that can be viewed/edited by the Administrator and an End User. I have a few documents (like the XML sitemap and Error Document) that need to be hidden from my End User when they log into the MODx manager.
- I have set up an Admin Only resource group and pulled in the two documents from above.
- I have set up an End Users user group and added my user to it.
- I have created an Admin Only Role with an authority of 1.
- My User Group: Administrator has two items under Context Access tab
[li]mgr|Super User-0|Administrator
- web|Super User-0|Administrator
[/li]
[li]My User Group: Administrator has two items under Resource Group Access tab
- Admin Only|Super User-0|Resource|web
- Admin Only|Super User-0|Resource|mgr
[/li]
[li]My User Group: End Users has two items under Context Access tab
- mgr|Admin Only-0|Content Editor
- web|Admin Only-0|Content Editor
[/li]
[li]My User Group: End Users has two items under Resource Group Access tab
- Admin Only|Admin Only-0|Load Only|web
- Admin Only|Admin Only-0|Load Only|mgr
[/li]
[li][/li]
[li][/li]
[li][/li]
From inside the manager everything works fine but my documents are not viewable from the "front" of the site. How do I limit access in the manager without excluding pages from being viewed by anonymous site visitors?
