I am a pretty good designer, but a novice geek. I got my REVO site pretty far on my local MAMP server. I am preparing to move it to a remote host for client review. It will be in a temporary location during the client review process, later moving to its public location. I’m concerned about not following the right series of steps. Here is my plan:

    1. Fresh-install ModX on the remote

    2. Copy all relevant (non-MODx) files and folders(CSS, JS, assets, etc.) to remote - mirroring the local

    3. Export the local mySQL db to a file

    4. Import said local mySQL db into the remote mySQL db that was created during the install on the remote.

My Question: Am I missing anything???

I love the design flexibility of this CMS. I don’t see the appeal of WordPress, Joomla, Droopal, etc.

    Thanks for the guidance!

It isn’t always that easy to find what you want in the MODx docs. wink
