ok I test across ALL browsers and a client site which requires a blog section has quip installed, all seems fine in decent browser but the usual MS problems have reared their ugly head. This is not a bug report, because I am sure many who already use quip on live sites have seen these...unless they ignore ie 6 through 8 completely which really wouldn’t be fair to a client now would it?
in both ie 6 and 7 the quip-comment div collapses, had to give it the ugly min-height hack, solved.
in both ie6 and 7 the quip-comment quip preview div is huge, again the min-height hack worked.
in both ie6 and 7 the peekaboo bug appears...again fixed.
I tested ie 8 after fixing above in 6 and 7 so I do know if it had the problems.
but what all three of them DO HAVE is when you use for example, an apostrophe, the html NAME gets placed in the posted reply/post!
Now I know that in system settings I can allow tags, but I don’t think that is the answer or is it? nope, just tested.
I know I ask a lot of stupid questions, maybe a few that aren’t, and I am finding that if I can’t find the answer scroogling I forget about it and don’t use the feature, but this is mission critical situation right now, and I can’t put this up on a server. I know the devs are busy as hell and this forum is full of people whining and moaning and only a handful truly contributing, I wish I could count myself among the latter, but this is one answer I really need.
Please, could someone help me on this? And if I hear "place it on github" I will most assuredly do this, after ripping my hair out and selling my soul to drupalzebub...but I have only four days to meet a deadline so if anyone has found a solution please share it.
