    Hi There,

Does anyone know the best way to include an external asp website seamlessly into a webpage?

    Thanks

Hi Jordangrey, did you figure this out?

How do I include an asp file inside a modx page?

Can't you rewrite it into a php snippet? What does the asp file actually do?

For me its a whole other website that runs on asp not mine, I just want to re-design the layout then put the normal pages into modx so they can/delete the normal parts.
Can I do an include or something like that?

You can't do an include as asp and php are completely different languages, it won't work.

I still have no idea really what you are trying to do or what you mean by 'normal pages', but maybe you should look at using ajax or iframes to pull in the asp content. It sounds very messy though.

If you're just redesigning the layout then why don't you tackle the html/css on the original site? Or port the whole thing over to modx?

Thanks Lucas, the old site is plain site with no cms - the owner wants a cms.
Problem is certain logins areas and pages are driven by asp - it has a large user database with subscription management pages.

Do you think Iframe is the best way to go?
No idea how to re-write asp to php so out of my league there.
