    Hi

I am building a site in Modx revolution 2.06, everything was working fine until I changed the Friendly URL settings. Please see image attached. Now when I click a link on the navigation it takes me to a 404 page on every link. I can only view the index normally.

Also, if I try to save a page, or add an image I get a script error message
(also attached). The page freezes on the ’saveing’ timer.

I tried to put back the settings, but i’m not sure if i missed one out. The problem occured after 6.15ish.

    Thanks

Resource 2 and resource 3 seem to have the same alias... that will cause some issues when using friendly urls. So fix that to start with.

I changed both their names. however when I deleted the duplication resource alias and saved it, it did not auto fill in this option, so i typed it in manually.

          Cheers

On creation it may make an alias out of the pagetitle, however it wont when editing it.

            What problems did this solve?

Unfortunately none. If i preview any of the pages i get a 404 error message. Also there is a script error when saving, but i think that is a seperate issue. I think it’s something to do with the system settings- i don’t know how to get it back to default as this should correct the 404 error.

              I removed {core_path}components/ from
either FURL Alias Transliteration Service Class friendly_alias_translit_class translit.modTransliterate Friendly URL

or FURL Alias Transliteration Service Class Path friendly_alias_translit_class_path , but when i put it back still nothing happens. It’s very frustrating, any ideas?

              Thanks

I’ve not used translit yet, but find the settings on my install (which I never edited afaik) in the attached screenshot.

                  Thanks Mark.

i figured out the problem. For some bizarre reason my .htaccess was blank and the friendly URL’s need this. So i reuploaded the default one. It’s working fine now.

                  Cheers for all your help.
