I am trying to install MODx Revolution 2.0.5 and am getting two errors during my installation summary:
    Installation Summary
Errors were encountered during core installation. Please review the installation results below, correct the problems and proceed as directed.

Error creating table for class modResource
Error saving the default admin user.
    Array ( [0] => 00000 [1] => 1214 [2] => The used table type doesn't support FULLTEXT indexes )

What do I need to look into to fix this?

      Oi, that doesn’t look good.

I’d suggest uploading all files all over again (to eliminate any missed or corrupted files in the upload) and then re-run setup in upgrade mode. Or, completely wipe out your database (if it’s a new install) and run it as a new install.

OK. I dropped all tables, deleted all files from the server. Then I re-uploaded all the files to the server and tried a fresh install. I am still getting both errors.

This is a Windows Server. You can see all the sever, SQL, specs in the php.ini file here: http://dev.thehawthorngrill.com/

So dropping the tables and re-uploading all files did not fix this issue.

        Any ideas?

OK when trying to re-install again I was able to run it with only one error:
Error creating table for class modResource

This is if I change the username and password for the admin panel during install. I tried again with a different combination and I also got only the error above.

What the heck is this error and why is this happening to me? huh Also I dropped the table from the database once. Should I delete the whole database and start with a new one?

            No idea, sorry.

Maybe trying to install 2.0.6 helps - could’ve been a bug in 2.0.5 that’s been fixed.

If that doesn’t help either I’m totally out of ideas... perhaps one of the core devs can shed some light on this then.

This is a result of your default storage engine being set to InnoDB. Change this in your MySQL config or see this thread for a workaround:

Thank you that worked and enabled me to get the program installed. Now I have a blank page as far as the log-in area. The program installed said it was installed and when I clicked the link to go to the manager area, poof it’s blank (in additon to the homepage). Anyway, I will start a new post for this issue. Thank you.
