    Hi,

I did a quick search for any topics on what I’m trying to do but I couldn’t find any, so excuse me if this is a double post.

I have Revolution installed in a subfolder /modx on my web server, I am preparing to go live and want to move it to the root, I haven’t tested it yet because we still need our current website, but is there anything specific I should do when moving the mod-x installation?

    Thanks

You’ll need the setup directory. Copy all the files to the root, then run Setup in Upgrade mode.

If you have FURLs on, you’ll have to change the rewrite base in .htaccess to /.

I would move the old site to a subdirectory and then delete it from the root first (maybe leaving php.ini alone depending on what’ in it and whether the MODx site also has one).
