Hi there, I am having a strange problem and I don’t know where to find the solution. Could any body point me in the right direction. this problem has started only recently and could be something very simple....

I up load slide shows using the file manager and until recently I could upload slide shows upto 2 mb but now it wont let me upload anything above 1 Mb. I hadn’t changed any of my settings in the configuration tab. Since then I have tried many different setting but to no avail.

I don’t know enough about PHPmyadmin .... Could something of changed there??????

Please could someone point me in the right direction????

    I am using ModX 1.0.3

    Thanks alot for your help

The odds are that your host has changed the upload_max_filesize on you.

You can see the value via the PhpMyAdmin "view" link in the Manager.

In MODx Revolution, that’s in Reports->System Info.

I can’t remember where it is in Evolution.

In Evo try Reports => System Info =>phpInfo() View
Scroll down to PHP Core and look at max_file_uploads
You could try adding to your .htacces file :
        php_value upload_max_filesize 10M
        php_value post_max_size 10M

Some hosts don’t allow overides via .htaccess but do allow custom php.ini files
