Classifieds board with MODx

I’ve read the sticky on "MODx limits on the number of documents"

Now I’m facing a project for a site that allows registered users to post a number of classifieds over different boards.
This will pretty soon result in far over 5000 post.

I would like the administrator to be able to read/mod/delete posts from the manager.

Can I use MODx for this?
I’m thinking (but not liking) disabling the cache, or (what’s worse?!) building a cms on top of modx to administer all the posts.
Please let me know how you would handle this!

Your classifieds should be kept in a separate table(s) not as modx documents.
For this you have to look into modx modules.

Here are the steps I would follow:

1. Create the classified table(s).
2. Create a modx module to manage the classifieds. Noting major just basic table view/edit/delete functionality.

3. Create a custom snippet that displays classified on the frontend: eg [[ShowC? &limit=`20`]]
