    Hi there,

I’m having trouble to define the right settings for a user in my
Access Policy Template. He should see all the folders and files in the modx-file-manager browser.

The following settings i’ve activated, but the user still can’t see any directories or files:

    file_list
    file_manager
    file_remove
    file_tree
    file_update
    file_upload
    file_view
    directory_list
    directory_chmod
    directory_create
    directory_update
    directory_remove

Whate else is needed? Anyone having also problems with this?

    Thanks for your answers!

Why are you making another AP Template? Just use the Administrator Template with a new Policy and uncheck settings in it in your new Policy.

I assume this is in web context? Have you customized the filemanager_path setting?

FWIW, when you’re learning the permission system, it’s usually easier to give the user all the permissions, make sure things are working, then remove them a few at a time, testing as you go.

          It works!!

Sorry Shaun I wrote it false.
I’ve made an Access Policy based on the Administrator Template.
Your hint with the web context brought me the solution:
I defined my AP for the mgr context and a different one for the web... just added the same for the web context, now it works fine.
Will now define a customized filemanager_path setting for the User.

          Thanks!
