    Hi y’all smiley

I recently cleaned up my webspace and did a clean install of MODx, version 2.0.4-pl2.
The install went fine, but unlike the previous version I tried, this one shows a completely white page when trying to open the directory where there should be an index-page. With the previous version (don’t remember which one it was) MODx already set up a template automaticly and put some example text in it. Looked like this:

(Some pic that turned up at Google search)

How can I get that back again?

    With regards,

    Bart Grefte

Revo by default doen’t install any content, so your install seems to be working fine. You’ll need to use the package manager under the tools menu to install sample content if you want it.

How about a note to former Evo users about this on one of the install screens (or on the "welcome" page)? Along the lines of:

Note: If you are upgrading from MODx Evolution or are new to MODx, you may be surprised to find that no add-ons or content are included in the base install of MODx Revolution. We did this to avoid weighing your site down with add-ons that you don’t need. If you view the front end of your site now, there will be nothing there. You’ll need to create a home page before anything shows up.

You can go to System -> Package Manager and click on the "Download Extras" button to download add-on packages . One package includes a sample site. There are also some ready-made MODx templates.

Here are some commonly used add-ons:

Wayfinder - Produces dynamic menus for your site.
getResources (replaces Ditto) - Shows aggregated content from your site such as blog posts, document summaries, etc.
FormIt (replaces eForm) - Displays and processes web forms in the front-end of your site.
Login - A login package that includes snippets for login, user profiles, registration, password changes, and forgotten passwords.
