I wonder if anyone can help. I’m an Account Manager, stuck between my developer and my client’s hosting company, trying to solve a problem about the amount of session files being created and stored in a Temp folder which gets so large it shuts everything down on a regular basis. This results in the following:
PHP Parse Error
PHP error debug
Error: Unkown: open(/services/webpages/h/s/hshotels.co.uk/templates/sess_2ee01eaabd9e6aa5995261f873585639,0_RDWR) failed: File too large (27)
Error type/Nr.:Warning - 2
File: Unkown
Line: 0
My developer says it’s the hosting company not clearing the session files and the hosting company saying it’s a problem with the application creating so many!!
I regularly clear the Temp folder to avoid complete shutdown but I was just wondering if anyone knows why so many session files are being recorded especially during low-traffic times?? Could there be something in the code which manages sessions or is it the responsibility of the host?
Thanks for your help.

You need to post the information that is requested below this textarea each time you make a post in the forums and provide at least some minimum information. We can’t help you if we don’t know what you are working with.
FWIW, this is all managed by PHP’s session configuration which you can discuss with your server administrator, assuming this is related to MODx Evolution (1.x).
