I’ve setup a site using MODx Revo with the following details:
Revolution 2.0.4-pl2
PHP Version 5.2.13
Server API CGI/FastCGI
MySQL 5.0.77
Linux 2.6.18-194.el5
The site receives around 700 visitors a day. It’s taking around 10 to 30 secs to load a page. The site seems to be creating large cookie files.
- I’ve tried removing the minify JS & CSS scripts
- made sure the snippet calls are being cached.
- Manually deleted the cache.
- Deleted web browser cache (many times).
It’s also taking about 30 seconds to load pages, chucks, etc in the manager.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
Looks OK from here except for the Live page, this takes around 10 secs, the rest seem to be 1-2 secs.
Use MODx, or the cat gets it!
It’s quicker when there isn’t many visitors. As soon as the site is busy is slows right down.
The manager slows down, frontend slows down... If it’s server config/permissions then I have no idea where to start looking!
The hosting company will say it’s the code, which it probably is because Evo work perfectly fine.
Are these the correct headers to get back from a page request?
