    I’m probably missing something really simple here but I’m using the latest evolution and I can’t see the link attribute field which apparently should be above the summary (introtext) field.

    Any ideas why? To be honest I’ve never seen it in any of the websites I’ve created using Modx so wondering if I have to set it up somehow? The reason why I’m asking is that I’m using wayfinder to create the menu and I need a weblink to an external page and I’d like it to open in a new browser window and I’ve read this is where you can specify it.

    Thanks for any help!

      Hi,
      That is really wild. In every site I’ve made, that field is just "there". And I’ve used it for crazy menu stuff like having a unique background image for each item, and in a recent site, for getting sounds to occur upon hovering over that menu item (don’t ask).

      Gee, do you have a plugin called ManagerManager? If so, it could be vanishing that field or renaming it. But it doesn’t sound like you did that. Anyway, you could tell by checking amongst your plugins, and then you’d probably have a chunk like "mm_rules" or something like that.

      Very odd.

        Check the mm_demo_rules chunk; it hides that field for certain users. I always immediately comment out or just delete all the rule in that chunk except for the one that displays a thumbnail for image TVs.

          well what do you know ... it worked!!! thanks samba & sottwell, really helpful.
          what i did incase anyone else has the problem is go to assets > plugins > managermanager > mm_rules.inc.php and removed these lines:

          // For everyone except administrators
          mm_hideFields(’link_attributes’, ’!1’);

          as sottwell mentioned. ideal grin
