    Hey there,

I know that this topic has been written about enough to drown quite a few baby seals, but as the titles says I am just not getting it. I have read over the documentation provided in through the manager itself as well as through hours of forum posts. At this point I am assuming the settings in my MODx Revo 2.0.4 build are correct but that the problem lies in my .htaccess and redirect methods.

    Root .ht file:
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^cubed-media.com$ [OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.cubed-media.com$ [OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^http://www.cubed-media.com$
    RewriteRule ^/?$ "http\:\/\/cubed\-media\.com\/MODx\/" [R=301,L]

So this really just redirects traffic from my root to the sub; /MODx. So then when I uncommented the areas that I needed to to finish the furl setup. But Firefox says that it can’t load the page because the site made a redirect call that FF knew would fail. I found this strange because I didn’t want the page to be redirected back, I just want the url name changed. So I removed the R=301 thinking this would work, but it still failed. So now I am at a stall, things work but furl. So what I am looking for is for the http calls to "www.cubed-media.com" to be redirected to ".../MODx/index.php?id=..." but I want the browser url to be rendered "cubed-media.com/pagetitle". Does .htaccess actually do this? Or am I going about it wrong?

    .../MODx .ht file:
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /MODx

    # Rewrite www.domain.com -> domain.com -- used with SEO Strict URLs plugin
    #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} .
    #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^cubed-media\.com [NC]
    #RewriteRule (.*) http://cubed-media.com/$1 [L]

    # Rewrite secure requests properly to prevent SSL cert warnings, e.g. prevent
    # https://www.domain.com when your cert only allows https://secure.domain.com
    #RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} !^443
    #RewriteRule (.*) https://example-domain-please-change.com.com/$1 [R=301,L]

    # The Friendly URLs part
    #RewriteEngine On
    #RewriteBase /MODx
    #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} .
    # Force all pages to go to www.domain.com for SEO
    #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.cubed-media\.com\/MODx [NC]
    #RewriteRule (.*) http://www.cubed-media.com/$1 [L]
    # Friendly URLs
    #RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    #RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    #RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]

Most of the irrelevant parts have been appended here. And while I am still here. In the resource tab you can make documents as parent resources, but how do you set the child documents as being in a separate folder? I am using getResource to gather the posts for a blog, but when I set the "parents" as anything other then 0 nothing happens and when I do set it as 0 it shows all resources.

    Thanks in advance.
