Let’s get a JIRA request filed for replacing the current backup system, what say?

On the backup topic, is anything like this targeted for revo? I know there are future enhancements already planned such as versioning etc. but would a sort of transition component be worth doing here? It could be superseded if/when the real backup system is available. I don’t think this would be that onerous and would help people transitioning from evo. Any thoughts?
