    Hello,

My server keeps getting hacked by visa phishing sites, and I think it may be related to globals being on. I changed them to off using .htaccess, but then mysite no longer functions, with a server error 500.

    I’m using SEF URLs.

I also added new php.ini file to the root directory, and shut globals off in it. But the new file completely broke the site, so I had to get rid of it.

    Any ideas?

What information can I provide you that will help you help me wink

    Thanks,

    Richie

Talk to your host first. Any decent host will shut that off for you at the server level or show you how to do it.

In fact, I would talk to them about the phishing too... though that setting is lame, it’s by no means the only source of getting hacked. They may be willing to view logs to see who might be hitting your site.

      Good luck.
