My client is having problems uploading images through the image editor and also file the file manager but i can upload fine so I’m not sure how to help him! He says that when he tries to upload via the editor he receives the message:

Error, "Failed to upload file, internal error..."

and when he tries via the file manager it says:

Failed to copy file to destination directory - upload failed! Possible permission problems - the directory you want to upload to needs to be writable by your webserver.

So it sounds like it’s some permissions settings; I haven’t set anything up specially for my laptop or desktop and it’s ok; he’s also using the main admin login so the same as me. How can he set the permissions his end?

    Thanks for any help anyone!

      Hi,
Oh, client has full super-admin... you’re a brave one! smiley The number one problem I see is that the clients fall deeply in love with some photo from their digital camera, and it’s much, much too big to upload via PHP and the browser. They have no idea how big the file is, or that it matters.

They also may be trying to use spaces in folder names or filenames. A no-no.

      Good luck, Dave

hmm the client isn’t uploading large images or has spaces in the file names so that’s not the problem. anyone come across this before???
