Integrating a forum. which one?

    Hi all,

    i need to make a site with a forum. any tips on what forum software to use? is there a standard solution within Modx?
    it would be nice to share the authentication from Modx with it.

      Well this one uses SMF 1.1.10 so I presume that theres a bridge for it. As far as I know no other forum bridges have been developed.

        We don’t actually use the SMF bridge in MODx. Just a similar forum skin.

          Hi,

          So there is a bridge. Why don’t you use it then on this forum? is there a better way to integrate the two?
          or is there another reason

            One of the reason we dont use the bridge ourselves, is, we didnt/dont have user personalized stuff on the main website. smiley

              Do you plan to integrate them?

              I’ve read somewhere that it will be easier with modx Revolution.
              If is is, il will be a good example to integrate 3rd party script with MODx.
