Using Evo 1.0.4, I have used the method of setting appropriate permissions/groups for manager users under the Security > Manager Permissions tab, and all pages are hidden correctly (do not appear), EXCEPT the parent (container) of the page I want the manager to have access to, which remains visible, and editable, even though it is supposed to be locked to the manager of the child document.

I have also tried editing the modx_system_settings table in the DB and setting tree_show_protected to setting_value = 1 which does lock the parent but not the child, exactly as I require, but EVERY page is still visible, making it difficult to find the single page that requires editing. I only need this because I can’t get a checkbox TV to work correctly from QuickEdit (problem posted here http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,57113.msg327051.html#msg327051), otherwise i’d lock the manager interface completely.

Might I have done something wrong with the first method, or is there a way to lock all pages (including the parent I guess) and hide every other page (except the parent) from the editor of the child?

Hope that made sense... thanks in advance.

Unfortunately that’s the best you can do with Evo permissions.

maybe also have a look at the ManagerManager "mm_widget_accessdenied"
Denies access to specific documents (by ID) without inheritance.

OK, I’ll take a look at mm_widget_accessdenied. Cheers
