    Hi,

I just moved my install from the development to the production server

    Here’s what I did:

    - forgot to clear the site cache (Duh!)
    - uploaded DB-Dump
    - moved Files
    - updated .htaccess
    - updated core/config/config.inc.php
    - updated `modx_workspaces` Default workspace to new baspath
    - set core/cache, core/export, core/packages, manager, connectors to 777 (did I miss something here?)

Frontend is working, but I get an error in the Manager:

Could not find action file at: /old/base/path/manager/controllers/default/resource/update.php

obviously I missed a setting, but where? (can’t find "old/base/path" in files’ content anymore, somewhere in DB perhaps?)
Also: setup is returning a blank page....

    regards

      Never mind, got it:

Followed some incomplete instructions, after I found http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Moving+Your+Site+to+a+New+Server I simply cleared core/cache and everything is working now...

RTRFM... read the RIGHT f**** manual grin

Maaaaan, I wish I could say that did the trick for me!

I've updated my path in the workspaces table, and cleared the site cache more times than I can count easily using existing limbs, but still I get that darn "could not find action file" error.

Is it just the site cache?

edwardmartiniii - Are you clearing the cache from the manager or directly by ftp by deleting all the files in the core/cache directory?

If from the manager, do a manual cache clear via ftp (or your server's file manager).

If Frogabog's solution doesn't work (or you already tried it). Be sure to also clear your browser cache and cookies.

Did you use FTP to transfer the files? It's not uncommon to have a missing or corrupted file that way. See the method here: http://bobsguides.com/modx-upgrade-faq.html. It's for upgrades, but much of it applies to new installs as well.
