I’m very new to ModX, I’m still learning PHP and getting my head around some things. One has been very frustrating and I haven’t been able to find a solution. I have followed the Wiki on how to create an RSS feed but I run into the same problem no matter what. I always get the same error:

XML Parsing Error: XML or text declaration not at start of entity
    Location: http://www.clevelandnorml.org/feed.xml
    Line Number 3, Column 1:

    The resource content is:
    [[Ditto? &parents=`31, 48` &format=`rss` &summarize=`20` &total=`20` &commentschunk=`Comments`]]

All the settings are what was in the wiki and I tried every other one just in case, so I’m a bit baffled. Thanks for any help you guys can give me!

You seem to have two empty lines at the start of the feed.
      That’s the most likely culprit.

The getResources add-on is used in MODx Revolution. There’s a post with the code that works for me. http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,52541.0.html

I’m stuck with Evolution not Revolution, so I don’t think that will work for me. It seems odd that those two lines would just be there. Is there a way of fixing this?

Are you using a template with some whitespace at the top or the RTE for the document?
