Template help?

Hi,
I just discovered MODX as we speak. I made an static xhtml/css website a few months ago and with Modx I just saw the possibility to actually do something with it.
Now, as I’m not a huge PHP/MYSQL hero, I was wondering if someone could help me out with converting the static xhtml page to a Modx template.
I read a lot on this but it’s still a bit abstract to me.
It would be a huge help as I don’t really want to struggle and having a not so good result (in comparison with someone who knows what he’s doing )

That’s described in the rtfm.modx.com documentation site, in Revo’s section (having trouble getting in there right now or I’d post a direct link to the article in question).
