phpThumbOf question

Hi. 1 question: as autput filter, does phpThumbOf re-create the image every time the page is loaded?
I mean, by placing an img tag that points directly to a real, finished image on the server, i load it directly.
But, if i instead use this filter, does it process the image every time before downloading and showing it?
Does phpThumbOf make images display slower than if I didn’t use it?

It caches the thumbnail, so no. It only loads a bit slower the first time, as phpthumb creates the thumb and caches it.
