Setting up a video archive page

Hi . . .
Is there an option in MODx to set up a video page, that is easy for a client to maintain, that is similar to the link below?

There 2 ways:
1. Create a resource for each video. The resource will have an Upload File TV. Than use getResources(Evo) or Ditto(Revo) to display the list
2. Create a module(Evo) or CMP(Revo) that handles the video naming and upload, than use a custom snippet to generate the page

The first solution is the easiest but not recommended for tons of videos.

I doubt there will be tons of videos but the client wants to mimic this site. From your opinion do you think this site is straight out of the can or a custom job?

Looks like a Joomla setup. I am so used to MODx I don’t want to try another. Do you think MODx can mimic what we have in the http://njsaltwaterfisherman.com/ site?

Almost anything can be done using Resources in Modx. I would say that if the number of videos is less than 100 than go with resources. Create container, a template add a File TV, create resources inside the container and output them with Ditto.

You can hide unneeded fields using ManagerManager in Evo and Form customization in Revo

I don’t recommend using resources for videos only but if you want a fast an easy solution this is the way to go.
