Hi
I keep getting this message when im installing Modx, ERROR: Your includes/config.core.php is not writable; please make it writable OR edit the file with the correct MODX_CORE_PATH and click Submit.
Please could anyone give me advice on how to fix this step by step.
Thanks
Can you provide some basic information please, like which version of MODx, which distribution you are using, steps you are taking, at what point in the process you are encountering this, etc., we can be of more help. Otherwise, just give the file in question write privileges to the user running the PHP process on your server, or edit the MODX_CORE_PATH define with the absolute path to your MODx core/ directory, e.g. in the traditional distribution...
<?php
define ('MODX_CORE_PATH', MODX_INSTALL_PATH . 'core/');
define ('MODX_CONFIG_KEY', 'config');
define ('MODX_SETUP_KEY', '@traditional');
However, unless you have moved the core/ directory, which you did not indicate you did, it should be found automatically without any change to it, so I don’t understand why you are getting this message.
