    Hi . . .

I can’t find a place to add my meta tags in the Admin so can I add them directly into the index template? Will that work just as well?

    thanks,
    Daniel

If you’re on Revo you can use the MetaX package (or I believe that there’s another one out there too) to do this with no further tweaks beyond adding keywords.

Basically create a TV for all templates called ’keywords’, set it as autotag input type, and either output it manually or using MetaX.

Doing it manually, most of the other ’standard’ metadata fields are already in the admin (title, date, introtext or description) and just need a placeholder on output - getting author or last editor is a little more work.

If you want to add robots or cache controls, or other custom metadata, you need to write those out in the template(s) you’re using (or again, create tvs if you want to have configurable behaviour on a per-page basis).

Thanks . . . I am using Evolution. I will look into the Template Variables. I thought there might have been an easier way to get around it.

        thanks,

This uses meta tags as an example of using TVs
