I installed MODx 2 but the page goes to 404 Page Not Found error saying "Page you requested was not found". I tried debugging and it appears like it is quitting the application somewhere in xPDO class. Has anyone faced the same problem? How do I correct this?

ht.access file - what is it meant for? Rewrite engine? Do we rename it to .htaccess?

On another note, I installed MODx 1.0 and it works fine.

    Please help

So you installed it by running setup/? Did you create a Resource (what a Document is in 1.0) first? It will give you a 404 if you haven’t created a Resource.

Revolution at this time does not come with demo content installed. It will in one of the RCs and beyond, but not in beta. You will have to create your own content.

It is dealing with FURLs: http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/MODx096/Friendly+URL+Solutions

How to apply templates (header, footer, navbar, menu, etc) to the content (resource) I created even though it asks for Menu Title, etc. I am not able to use the Parent Resource dropdown.

Editor to use does not list TinyMCE or any editor.

I recommend reading the official docs: http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/revolution/MODx+Revolution

As for the parent resource dropdown, that is a known bug. If you’d like to change it, you can simply right-click on Resources in the left tree to create documents with the parent already specified; you can also drag/drop Resources in the tree to rearrange them to your liking.

TinyMCE is not installed by default - no Components are in Revolution - you’ll need to install it via Package Management.
