    Hello I’m new to this forum and just starting with MODx CMS.

    Now I read on the internet that the module "description" is the same as the meta description. I filled the description field, but if I look in the source of my pages it doesn’t show meta description anywhere.

    I’m using MODx version 1.04

    Could someone please help me with this matter.

    Thank you,

      The description field and meta description are not the same thing unless your template makes them so. There is a legacy meta tags manager in MODx Evolution that will insert tags into your template but you can also add [*description*] as the content attribute of the meta description in your template’s head. See below:
      <meta name="description" content="[*description*]" />

      Hope this helps.

            Hi, thx for responding!
            problem is that in the menu links <a href="http://www.inogenone.eu/" rel="nofollow">My Website</a> the alias-URL is changed when I go to the contact-page. I use chunkcodes for the links and they are the same on every page. The contact-page changes the homepagelink in index.html and it has a different alias-name.
            thx. Mark
