This is my second attempt at MODx. I am trying to figure out how to make MODx work as a CMS/blog that outputs XML. I got MODx installed and working, but when I log into MODx this is where I draw blanks. I am using version 1.0.0 and I am not sure how to customize the layout so that when you sign in you can select "edit blog" then once you click that option I want to have 3 input fields first is a date input, second is a short blurb for the blog, second is a longer version to put in more detail (the second box is for a quick blurb that will appear on the home page.)
And then I want them to be able to submit that.
I want this to fall into a flash page and I am fine with the flash XML and implementing and all that, my issue is strictly with MODx.
Does anyone know of any tutorials for this? Or can help guide me in the right direction. I have searched Google, Yahoo, this sites documentation and forums with very little results on how to set up and change the output with MODx.
Any help would be great.
Ditto can generate xml output of the docs you create through manager or front-end with newspublisher or newseditor snippets. But you can also set document content type to text/xml and have the document behave as a standalone file (template: blank) OR create <xml> templates (instead of xhtml) and assign documents with xml-tags under it.

//To use NP or NE front-end with xml-tags, they will have to be added to $allowedTags variable.
