After years of no problems, I suddenly have a weird issue with entering images into documents - I have to do it twice!
It happens like this: I insert an image using the normal route of the Resources Browser. The image appears in the image insertion dialogue box, but when I click ’Insert’ the image is inserted, but without the src details for the image file. In other words, it inserts an <img> tag, with the title and alt tags and even with the correct dimensions, but the source attribute is empty. If I select the image box and use the image insertion dialogue a second time (including having to find and select the file again), then the image is inserted correctly.
This is happening on a number of separate sites (although all hosted with Bluehost). As far as I can see the problem affects only sites running MODx 0.9.6.1 (we have others using 1.0.0).
But here’s the really annoying thing - it’s not consistent. Some sites (using 0.9.6.1) work fine. And on the few sites where this problem has just appeared, I haven’t made any configuration changes.
For info, we’re managing these sites from two computers, both running OS X Snow Leopard & Firefox (latest version).
I plan to bring all our sites up to the latest version of MODx when I have time, but that’s too big a task right now.
I simply can’t understand why this problem has suddenly appeared. Would appreciate any thoughts...
