    I can’t fix the errors. The site was coded by someone else who loved to use java and tables. I am not allowed any hours to rewrite the code.

    The errors in the validation are not the problem it is not showing though.

    It can be seen in safari whether logged in or out of the manager. It can be seen in firefox only when logged into the manager, it can be seen in IE but only when logged into the maanger.

      The page is blank in both FF and IE7, but shows in Chrome.

      The source is there in FF and IE7. What you’re seeing is almost always caused by bad HTML. Some browsers are more forgiving than others. Your doctype doesn’t match your tags and there are a number of illegal comment tags. Comments look like this:
      <!-- comment -->
      and can’t contain any double hyphens.

      One possibility is that FF and IE7 are interpreting the whole page as a comment and not showing it.

        <!-- comment --> does not appear in the markup at all? Where did you find that? It is not in the template and when I view the code in FF it is not there either.

        Why would the page load whn logged into the manager in FF but not when logged out?

          Sorry if I wasn’t clear.

          <!-- comment --> is an *example* of a properly formed comment tag. Notice the number of dashes on each end. Now look at the ones in your code.

          Do you have QuickEdit enabled and any QuickEdit tokens in the source (they’ll have a # in them)?
          Is the Template Switcher plugin installed and enabled?

          I can’t say why it would show in preview mode, but until you fix the problems with the HTML, it’s hard to know for sure that that’s not the problem. When you can see a document’s source in View Source in the browser but the display is blank, the HTML is the first place to look. The second thing to look for is JavaScript conflicts, but usually, those would be reported by FireBug which, in the case of your page, only reports warnings about the HTML.

            I appreciate what you are saying and I recognise the HTML /Java is a mess, but that is not the issue, if it were then the site home page itself would not be showing as it uses the same code.

            i’ve had to go back to creating static pages now in order them them to show.
