    Hi All,

Extremely new to modx but looks nice! I’m trying to check it out so I installed the traditional download of MODx Revolution 2.0.4-pl2 (under XAMPP on Mac OS X Snow Leopard), install seemed to go OK. I went to the admin and even put some content to the Home page. However, when I try to go to the site, all I see is a plain piece of text (which is the text I put for the home page), nothing else! Just a plain piece of text I entered, no menus, no template, no styling, basically no site, just a piece of text. What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you!

      That’s what you should see.

Modx Revo does not come with a site template included. If you want a template so you can have a play with it you will have to install one via System >> Package management >> Download Extras >> Site Packages and then install it

Revolution is lean and mean and comes empty so you can install only the extras that you need.
