I have built a site using Modx and have about 6 pages finalized. The last page I created utilizes about 62 template variables
    http://ahlbergantiques.paysonllc.com/inventory/casepieces.html

we are doing this so that the client can input his own products and descriptions.
However, since I created this page - everytime i go to create a new page, and hit save - modx brings up the loading image which lasts forever and the page never gets created. What’s going on?

I’m using MODx Revolution 2.0.0-pl and I have this installed on an Apache server, i’ve tested it in both IE and Firefox, same results.

      Hi,
62 template variables! Good Lord! I thought I was getting wild using about 8. Wow, that’s probably enough to bring even Revo to its knees, a guru can probably weigh in on that. smiley

Your page seems to have many, but similar, listings. If so, whenever I have that scenario I just use Ditto. The display page has the Ditto call. Then under that page, I have lots of product documents, each document having, say, 5 TV’s for product fields. They all get pulled into the display page, some styling and templating to make them look nice, and there you are. This has the additional advantage of allowing some re-sorting of the products if needed.

A modicum of client intelligence is needed to train them to put the docs in the right place, use the data entry template, and so on.

      My 2 cents.
      Good luck, Dave
