I have tried all the suggestions in the troubleshooting listed below. This is for the latest version on MODX Traditional. The platform is Debian, MySQL 5.0.83, PHP 5.2.12 can someone help figure out how to the instructions below.

Debian packages in old versions of MySQL drivers in, so to get it up-to-date and working with the PDO drivers in MODx Revolution, you’ll have to do the following:

    1. Update the server MySQL drivers. You can do this manually on debian, or use apt-get.
    2. Update the client MySQL drivers. The easiest way to do this is by updating PHP, like so:

    view plaincopy to clipboardprint?

    1. vi /etc/apt/sources.list (you can choose a different mirror):
    2. deb http://packages.dotdeb.org stable all
    3. deb-src http://packages.dotdeb.org stable all
    4. deb http://php53.dotdeb.org stable all
    5. deb-src http://php53.dotdeb.org stable all
    6.
    7. apt-get update
    8. apt-get upgrade php5
    9.
    10. vi /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini
    11. date.timezone = Europe/Amsterdam
    12.
    13. /etc/init.d/apache2 reload

It works fine on my macbook using MAMP but on the live server I have this issue.

I’m hosted by iPage I don’t think it’s behind a proxy. I also tried using Textpattern and had a similar issue.
