Hi, I’m trying to install multiple domains on one revo installation with contexts. Followed the instructions of following links:
    http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Creating+a+Subdomain+from+a+Folder+using+Virtual+Hosts
    http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Using+One+Gateway+Plugin+to+Manage+Multiple+Domains

But I just can’t seem to get it right, these are my settings:

    Contexts
    -web (www.domain1.be)
    -domain2 (www.domain2.be)
    -blog (blog.domain1.be)

I have a shared hosting account so I made an addon-domain or subdomain (www.domain2.be) which has a subfolder in my root named ’domain2’
    public_html/domain2
for the blog I have following folder:
    public_html/blog

    These are the context settings:
    for context ’domain2’
    base_url: /
    http_host: www.domain2.be
    site_url: http://www.domain2.be
    site_start: 3

    for context ’blog’
    base_url: /
    http_host: blog.domain1.be
    site_url: http://blog.domain1.be
    site_start: 5

I copied the 3 files (.htaccess, index.php and config.core.php) to the subfolders and changed the ’htaccess’ and ’index’ file to work with friendly urls and point to the right context.

After doing these settings I get the following error when I visit a page on the additional domains:
    Error 503
    Site temporarily unavailable

I tried to change the permissions of the contexts to the same as ’web’ but it doesn’t seem to work.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

No, I didn’t, now I tried it, but still the same error.

Do I have to copy additional files to the subfolder besides the 3 files(.htaccess, index.php and config.core.php)? And what do I fill in the core path?

        Filled in following path:
        define(’MODX_CORE_PATH’, dirname(__FILE__) . ’/home/username/public_html/domain2/core/’); (but there’s no ’core’ in that folder)

Ok, it works, changed the modx_core_path, I had to call the root folder

          define(’MODX_CORE_PATH’, ’/home/username/public_html/core/’);

          Thanks no!
